Welcome

Brain Injury Services Ltd has evolved into the organisation it is today having been first founded by myself, in January 1999. Based in Battle, East Sussex the organisation now provides case management to clients across the South East of England in Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, London, Essex and Kent.

As a case management organisation we understand the devastation that catastrophic injury brings not only to the injured individual, but to their families also, and value the importance of working together. We understand our duty is foremost to our client, the brain injured person, not those who instruct us, we do however recognise the importance of a positive working rapport with our client's solicitors deputies and significant others.

In the process of litigation we see it as our duty to ensure our client's support and associated rehabilitation regimes provide objective and comprehensive evidence to assist in the informing of Expert opinion. We consider the litigation process and meeting the client's needs as separate entities.

Our model of service delivery, established over our many years of experience, is directed towards maximising client resources and interim payments through our 'whole team' approach, which draws on the expertise of assistant case managers and skilled office staff in supporting the case manager in their work with the client.

Our approach to client risk is informed through the words of Mr. Justice (now his Honour) Munby, in the case of X -v-MM&KM 2007 "The emphasis must be on some sensible risk appraisal, not striving to avoid all risk, whatever the price, but instead seeking a proper balance and being willing to tolerate manageable or acceptable risks as the price appropriately to be paid in order to achieve some other good - in particular to achieve the vital good of the vulnerable persons happiness. What good is it making someone safer if it merely makes them miserable?"

When you retain our service you are not only engaging a case manager, but an ethos, team and a way of working that is wholly driven by the needs of the brain injured person.
